David Spencer, D.O.

David Spencer, D.O., is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine.  He grew up in Upstate New York and studied psychology and linguistics at the University at Buffalo.  He is a 2013 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee.  He completed the 4-year integrated internal medicine/neuromusculoskeletal medicine residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center in 2017 and has been caring for patients in the Kirksville area since 2018.

Dr. Spencer was drawn to internal medicine through an interest in physiology and the treatment of multiple complex conditions.  He combines this with osteopathic manipulative medicine to treat the whole person, including extensive additional training in manual approaches to the cranial, visceral, vascular, and nervous systems.  Dr. Spencer shares this expertise by teaching osteopathic medical students at ATSU-KCOM as an adjunct assistant professor.

Dr. Spencer provides outpatient, primary care for adult patients and osteopathic manipulation for patients of all ages.

Dr. Spencer’s personal interests include spending time with his wife and family, studying languages and linguistics, photography, gardening, ballroom dancing, and theology.
